Our Story
Running store owners Emily and Keith Davis have joined forces with 2012 Boston Marathon champion Wesley Korir to confront generational poverty in Kenya. Like many of the world’s elite runners, Wesley broke free from poverty through the power of running—a journey that has inspired countless others.
Now, through Bingwa Coffee, you have the chance to be part of that story. Every purchase directly supports Kenyan farmers, creating sustainable change and breaking the cycle of poverty, one harvest at a time. A portion of proceeds is donated to Transcend Talent Academy. Transcend was founded by Tarah & Wesley Korir to provide a full high school education and elite run coaching to the most talented youth of Kenya.
Bingwa means “champion” in Swahili—a fitting name for a movement fueled by grit, purpose, and global community. We believe champions aren’t just born—they’re made through resilience, and they have the power to uplift others. Together, we can harness the spirit of running to transcend borders, build community, and inspire greatness in us all.
