Emily and Keith Davis are the owners of Fleet Feet Winston-Salem and Fleet Feet Clemmons in North Carolina. Former corporate professionals, they turned their passion for running into a community-focused business in 2006. Both are accomplished endurance athletes, with Keith completing 10 Ironman races and Emily finishing Ironman Lake Placid and multiple marathons. They founded Good Works Engine, a nonprofit providing shoes to those in need, and support the Transcend Talent Academy in Kenya alongside Boston Marathon champion Wesley Korir. The Davises live their mission of service, actively participating in local and international community efforts. Their family started serving in Kenya in 2014 and since then, they have invested their hearts and finances in helping the people in Kenya. When they were first introduced to Wesley Korir in 2020, they knew that God had joined them for his purposes- to help impact the generational cycle of poverty in Kenya. They joined forces to build the Transcend Talent Academy school building in 2021 and have united on multiple projects- one being Bingwa Coffee. Through Bingwa Coffee their hope is to open more doors of opportunity to the talented youth of Kenya and to help the small coffee farmers of Kenya provide for their families. Emily serves as the Vice President of Kenyan Kids Foundation USA, the charitable entity that oversees Transcend Talent Academy.
Wesley Kipchumba Korir is a celebrated Kenyan marathoner and former politician. He gained international acclaim by winning the 2012 Boston Marathon in 2:12:40, following back-to-back victories at the Los Angeles Marathon in 2009 and 2010. His personal best marathon time is 2:06:13, achieved at the 2012 Chicago Marathon .
Korir's journey from rural Kenya to elite athletics began with a scholarship to Murray State University, later transferring to the University of Louisville, where he earned a biology degree and set multiple school records in distance running. In 2013, he was elected as an independent Member of Parliament for Kenya’s Cherangany Constituency, serving until 2017. Balancing politics and athletics, he continued to compete in major marathons while advocating for healthcare and education improvements in his community.
Korir and his wife, Tarah, co-founded the Kenyan Kids Foundation, focusing on educational and healthcare initiatives. Their philanthropic efforts include establishing a hospital in Kitale and supporting the Transcend Talent Academy, which nurtures young athletes . In April 2025, Wesley's younger brother, John Korir, won the Boston Marathon, making them the first siblings to achieve this feat in the event's history .
